Poem: Butterfly

"FIx sound"

submission: Poem: Butterfly
date: October 18, 2006

Adjust the sound files so that the background music is not louder than the narrative. I missed half of the poem because I couldn't hear it.

I like the concept and the music works very well with this.
Love to see this with the sound adjusted.

One More Final Battle

"Long cat is LOOOOOOOONG"

date: October 8, 2006

My only problem with this is that I can't vote 50 for it
The Pools closed sign won this one for me.

"Surprisingly Awesome!!!!"

date: September 22, 2006

I really enjoyed how much went into character development, it really set the stage for a tremendous plot with a surprising twist.

Graphically surperb!!!

3 Thumbs up!!!

Looking forward to the sequel.

Author's Response:

Kool, thanks a lot for the review.
But 0/10 for violence? :D

"Little Room"

"Man ,Can I relate"

submission: "Little Room"
date: September 6, 2006

I work in a glass cubical every day. It's set up so that the customer's can see me at work, but I don't have to deal with them.
...damned if somebody doesn't knock on the glass at least once each day. I think I'll start keeping a baseball bat in my cubical too.

Author's Response:

I'm glad that I've made people think about beating their co-workers to death with baseball bats.

Dr Steel's Back and Forth

"...pretty cool"

date: September 6, 2006

This was awesome on so many levels.

I loved the sepia/ old film / silent movie thing
and it went so well with the old clasic cartoon style.

The sync was great I especially liked how you had the drummer in the back ground hitting different drums at the correct time with the music. It's those small details that go a long way.
Speaking of..., the quality of the recording seemed to be in need of attention.

That's my only gripe with this one. Great Job!

Author's Response:

Thanks for the view and the review!
The sepia was my husband's idea so kudos to him for that one.
And thanks for the comment on the synchronization. It was back breaking at times (in fact it is probibly doubled the creation time) but well worth the finished effort. I am glad someone noticed! Thanks millions!
The music quality was poor I must admit, but it was the only way to keep the file size reasonable. Being a dialup internet user I try and respect the needs of the few remaining dinosaurs out there who, like myself, for various reasons can not (notice I say 'can not', not 'will not') get broad band of any kind.
Thanks again...

Newgrounds Hold'em

"A bug or two"

submission: Newgrounds Hold'em
date: September 5, 2006

I had a hand with a straight and one with two pair,
and It said a different hand won with a pair of 5's.
I played it for about an hour, but I only got weird results once.

Other than that, I think this is awsome.
I really liked how you had the odds available,
I would have liked to have seen someone else delt a hand that was not visable.
I thought the music went well, it was classic saloon style, and the loop wasn't too annoying. (I noticed you had some other choices there, but I didn't try those.

Overall a great job Kudos and all that jazz

Author's Response:

Strange, I've not experienced that bug, so not sure what caused it. I did use longer audio loops this time, more like a minute each rather than the usual 10-20 seconds.

You have just been added to my favorites.
The art in this is amazing, but the animation could use just a little tweeking. The creature's walk was a bit sketchy.
I think you have a chance a great future in this biz, keep puting forth projects of this calibur.

And I'm even sicker for laughing at this.
I keep expecting to see Clock-adile hunter flashes.

This is the first one I've seen on this subject that's had any effort put into it at all.

I salute you all the while condemning you. (and myself)

Nice song.
